Metaldehyde is a pesticide used to control snails and slugs. The product is approved for use in a wide variety of vegetable and ornamental crops in the field and greenhouses, in fruit trees, plants that produce small fruits, in avocado and citrus plantations, blackberry plants, banana plants, etc.

After its application, the gastropod that comes into contact with the product is immobilized and increases its slime production until the cells that produce this mucus are totally destroyed.
